The food was excellent but the staff was even better. Spectacular service.

We booked the place via “The Fork”. The interior of the restaurant and the atmosphere were nice, but they had us seated at the table between the wardrobe and the kitchen door, we couldn’t enjoy/see the live music there, feeling a bit as outsiders. The food was very average: the octopus and the tuna steak inside the sandwich were overcooked, the fries were served cold, the wine was served so icy that we couldn’t have it. The shared board of 6 fish dishes wasn’t enough for 2 people (I would have it as a starter rather than a meal) and was too expensive for Portugal. EDIT: Dear Sir/Madam, Let me leave my response to your surprisingly unprofessional and arrogant reply. First of all, “The Fork” didn’t give us the choice of the table and didn’t inform about any events taking place at your restaurant. Frankly speaking, it could have been a nice secluded corner if it hadn’t been for the photographers who were repeatedly trying to reach the wardrobe at our back, asking us to move during the meal. Secondly, I find it appalling and shameful in your case to get down to ethnicity and cultural differences. Portugal has always been a melting pot of cultures, tastes and traditions, accepting and welcoming people from all around the world and treating them as equal. In your case, you wouldn’t go far as a restaurant business in a touristic location if your starting point is emphasizing the fact that I am not of the same nationality as you are, so I misinterpret your traditions. Despite the fact that it wasn’t the first octopus I tried in Portugal and that I am not Portuguese myself, my uncle is, so I do know what an octopus should taste like. Finally, as for your piece of advice, I have been to and lived in a lot of countries and I have never had any negative experience. I do live and travel with an open mind and wish you the same: sometimes receiving a negative (but constructive and kind) feedback helps to improve. Best,

Very nice and modern restaurant. The food is very delicious and the service is excellent. I recommend to use a platter to share the food and if you are not sure go with what the waiter recommends.

I liked this restaurant a lot! There was live music, and the employees were extremely nice! Everything about was kind of different from other places but in a good way! The only thing to point out is the price, it was expensive. And not all foods come with something on the side, so you have to order things separately

Staff was extremely kind to us, very hospitable. Often times traveling as Americans we are just 'the stupid americans'. Staff was very friendly, and welcoming, an intimate dining experience overall. Great drinks.

Good restaurant, the price as a bit high (but we scheduled with the fork and got a discount) the food is not bad, but honestly the steak that comes on a wood thing was disappointing... It's just a grilled steak... Overpriced honestly. But the staff is very friendly..

One of the best Sintra experiences ever. Went a couple of times and tried different things - all perfect! Very cozy and personal experience. HIGHLY recommended!

Food quality is ok and our dishes were salty, the sauce wasn’t warm, the ambiance is great. Looks like others had a good experience so maybe it was an off day, it can happen. House red wine was very good Service can be better honestly. We sat down and it took the waiter 20 min to bring the menu, and another 15 min to get the food which is ok and they werent busy. I think they can just give you the menu to speed things up as there is no reason for the delay.
