Non perdetelo! Incredible surprise, excellent dishes, genuine and delicate flavors; we came for dinner by accident and were delighted; very kind staff. Don't miss it!

O Matiz é uma boa descoberta... situado no Hotel Sofitel, reúne todo o luxo contemporâneo mas nada ostensivo. O restaurante é bastante agradável, bem decorado, e mescla comida portuguesa de autor, com nuances francesas e muita técnica do chef executivo Daniel Schlaipfer. Apetece ficar à mesa e descobrir as delícias da carta: comece pelas deliciosas entradas (para partilhar); há pratos de peixe (adorei o polvo e o bacalhau é igualmente fantástico), carne, saladas e opções de massa. Não sai de lá sem comer uma das incríveis sobremesas... eu sempre provo uma de cada. Um verdadeiro spot em Lisboa e must go! Excellent option to eat well in the Avenida da Liberdade region, in the midst of a fashionista and cool atmosphere. Matiz is a good discovery... located in the Sofitel Hotel, it brings together all the contemporary luxury but nothing ostentatious. The restaurant is very pleasant, well decorated, and mixes signature Portuguese food, with French nuances and a lot of technique by the executive chef Daniel Schlaipfer. You feel like staying at the table and discovering the delights of the menu: start with the delicious starters (to share); there are fish dishes (I loved the octopus and the cod is equally fantastic), meat, salads and pasta options. You can't leave without eating one of the amazing desserts... I always try one of each. A real spot in Lisbon and a must go!

Relativamente ao menu, bastante equilibrado entre entradas e pratos principais, contudo de todos os selecionados apenas a “caldeirada” não era requentado. Também o serviço não foi o melhor, não só apenas pela forma de tratamento, bem como na morosidade face aos pedidos. De salientar a excelente e moderna adega. Very nice space, especially for lunch. Quite ample and with lots of light and very well decorated, assuming the classification of the hotel it belongs to. Regarding the menu, it was quite balanced between starters and main courses, however, of all the selected dishes, only the “caldeirada” was not reheated. Also the service was not the best, not only because of the way of treatment, as well as the slowness in the face of requests. Of note is the excellent and modern winery.

Tudo a começar pela recepção muito acolhedora e simpática. • O lugar é lindo e tranquilo, com um atendimento espetacular. • Chef Daniel é incrível e o cardápio não poderia ser diferente. Comida simples com a confecção perfeita, o champanhe na temperatura ideal e a sobremesa muito saborosa. • No final o chef foi a mesa cumprimentar o que torna a experiência mais especial ainda! One of my best “Self Date” in Lisbon. I entered by chance and it was the best I could have done! A 5 star dinner. Starting with the very warm and friendly reception. • The place is beautiful and quiet, with spectacular service. • Chef Daniel is amazing and the menu couldn't be different. Simple food with perfect preparation, champagne at the perfect temperature and a very tasty dessert. • In the end, the chef went to the table to say hello, which makes the experience even more special!

Meats and poultry are Free of antibiotics and hormones. And excellent wait staff. A MUST for your dining experience!
