Fundado a 17 de Maio de 1989 por António Almeida, apaixonado pelas modalidades de snooker e pool, o Snooker Águia Club nasceu no local onde funcionava a mítica cervejaria “Águia d’Ouro”.
O Snooker Águia Club diferenciou-se desde a sua abertura, pela modernidade e exclusividade que dava aos seus clientes no acesso ao espaço, privilegiando-os com um cartão, para abertura da porta e acesso ao Clube para além de descontos. Foi o primeiro “sports bar” da capital portuguesa, tal como é entendido o conceito vigente no século XXI.
Trata-se de um espaço concebido à imagem dos famosos pubs ingleses, tendo servido de base e inspiração, a estadia em Londres do seu fundador nos anos de 1986 e 1987.
Perdeu em 2015 o «Águia» surgindo «Lisboa» em jeito de homenagem à Capital e Cidade que acolhe este Clube há mais de trinta anos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place for play pool. You pay the pool table por hour and the price depends at what time you are playing. The beer is good and it comes in very cool glasses. You can see football match there especially the one of Barcelona. If there are any pool tournaments you can't be very loud.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great... would get 5 stars if they ban smoking... [Edit:] They banned smoking! And have also made very careful and intelligent improvements to make the club safe during the covid-19 pandemic. Thank you to the staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a nice place to take a beer and watch a game, however the prices for the food and the pool table are too expensive, the food was also not so tasty and very poorly served, the only good thing about it was the nice treatment we had, there are few tables to watch the game properly and they are already taken in the most part of the times
