We went to the foia and the picota. We liked the Picota much better, almost nothing going on, not overrun by tourists

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La montée n’est pas si simple(environ 1h30 de grimpe a pied au départ du centre de monchique)mais la plupart du trajet est ombragé et agréable.
La vue en haut est splendide et offre un observatoire fort appréciable ??
The climb is not that simple (about 1h30 of climbing on foot from the center of monchique) but most of the route is shaded and pleasant.
The view at the top is splendid and offers a very appreciable observatory ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite a trip to the top, even by car. Beware that the road is narrow and steep. Once at the end of the road a bit of scrambling is required. View is worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The view is spectacular, unfortunately made even more so by the forest fire. This is not a normal occurrence. But you will see in summer months a permanent look out on the fire tower at the top of the hill.
