★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ther have been some nice improvements done to the castle thanks to some investment from the European Union and Portugal. You can now climb to the top of the main tower to get a wonderful view of the Montalegre region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A place with an atmosphere that carry us to a time of kings and queens. The old streets around the castle with small stores and restaurants, the museum, the small chapel and the amazing views over Montalegre and the mountains all around. Every Friday 13th of any month during all year this place transforms into a place you can't miss to see.

Instead of a review will just leave some curiosities of this place from an Historian perspective (note that I'm currently working in this place in the date of this review). Came here to laser capture the building so you'll see something different in the photos bellow.
