Monastery of Santa Maria of Vila Nova de Muía (12th century), Portu This monastery was sent to build around 1100 by Godinho Fajes de Lanhoso, comrade-in-arms of Count Don Henrique. The privilege that had been granted him by Count Don Henrique was confirmed, later in the year 1141 by King Don Afonso Henriques. The plant of its church is longitudinal, with a single nave and presbytery, both of rectangular shape. From the Romanesque period, it conserves the cornice of the main chapel, with typical sculpted corbels and checkered motifs, a frieze that runs along both walls of the nave and two archivolts on the triumphal arch decorated with lanceolate and rhomboidal motifs. On the north wall of the nave is a walled doorway, which could have given access to the cloister, with two archivolts and a tympanum with a sculpted Maltese Cross, initially dated in the thirteenth century but now considered older and related to currents artistic that could come from Braga or the high Miño.

It's a ruin. Just some collapsing walls and a sign about its history. Recommend this one instead : monastery of são martinho de tibães
