Located in the square Pedro Nunes, important Portuguese mathematician, inventor of Nonio and important navigation theories, Alcácer do Sal City Council develops its activity in a beautiful building very well framed by the river and the pedestrian bridge that crosses the river Sado. it is worth doing the pedestrian path and appreciates the beauty of this square.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alcacer do Sal is a very pretty city with beautiful surroundings. Its well worth a day out to visit and explore.
I have not spent long enough there but believe the bird watching there is pretty good. Especially along the Sado estuary.
A small draw back is that most of the access roads are in poor condition however it appears works have begun to improve the IC1, as all the tree roots have been removed.
