★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum, excellent displays and history of sardine catching. Subject sounds boring but the museum exceeds this, visit it you will not be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Museum, Flows perfectly in the space they got. They show an 18 min video in English\French which takes you on A journey through the whole canning process and Factory regimen, I recommend watching the video before you walk around. It's great for kids and adults.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed this museum. So much I had to go and buy sardines for tonight’s dinner. Watch the video at start before seeing it all. Will come on in English subtitles. Interesting to see how tinned fish was first industrialised.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique museum located in a previous sardine factory. The atmosphere and procedures from catching, transport, cleaning and packaging is creative, old machines are presented perfectly. Very nice experience indeed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful location. Interesting museum about the fishing industry in Portugal, especially for the low price. We spent a little less than an hour there. Make sure to watch the film - everything else in the museum comes together once you watch it. We would have loved to buy a poster or old tin sheets in a gift store, but there isn't really a gift store (just some little trinkets in a glass case). The museum only takes cash, and doesn't have change for a 50€ bill, which I found surprising given that it seems quite fancy/new/well-funded! Unfortunately half the museum was closed off for renovations (we saw no renovations being done behind the cord, though).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old cannery put to good use. Great lithography machines and all old equipment used in canning sardines. One area closed off for maintenance.... Cheap entry
