The Museu Do Combatente overlooking the Tagus River is dedicated to the men and women killed in action among the Portuguese armed forces by their bloody involvement in the First World War through equally bloody conflicts in colonial Angola and Mozambique. It exhibits a collection of uniforms, weapons, a tank, the cockpit of a Fiat G91 aircraft widely used by the Portuguese air force during the Guerra do Ultramar (Colonial Wars) in Africa, many vintage models from the Second World War and numerous of artillery pieces.

Small military museum, very inexpensive entertainment tickets, mix of WWI to recent past military equipment and guns, some Portuguese Colonial history ( not in English) , over all worth a short visit if one happens to be in the area.

Nice experience, good view, kind staff. If you like military things, this is the great place for you. The good thing about this museum is, they have at almost every exponent english translation.
