★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Has a really great archaeological collection. However, like most museums in Portugal there is way too much emphasis on Catholic art and artifacts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice museum and worth a visit. Audio guide in several languages. Collection has everything from 2000 year old bronze to Roman tombstones, to paintings and even old furniture.
Our experience was a little unpleasant because some men were moving skids of marble and were very loud. Also when we were in the basement the phone rang twice. Plus an employee was giving a private tour to a woman but talking way too loud.
Noisiest museum I have ever been in. Hopefully this isn't typical.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was small and quaint and contained lots of artifacts and stones/pieces of ruins from the local area. Entrance fee was only a few Euros, and it took only about 40 minutes to see everything. There’s a cool courtyard with a hanging sculpture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Built in 1915, it is one of the most important museums in Portugal with more than 20 thousand objects including paintings, archeological artifacts, tiles, and tombstones of medieval times, etc. It is located in the vicinity of the Roman Temple and the Cathedral and a must-visit in Évora. The most famous collection is the 13 piece panel that shows *the Life of the Virgin* by an unknown artist in the 14th century. A highly recommended museum with a small entrance fee of around 3 €
