Tacho is a hole in the wall restaurant with a custom high class feel and yet a relaxed atmosphere.
The chef generated a beautiful presentation on all courses.
First came a toasted prociuto over sweet green melon drizzled with a light oil.
Can I say that it melts in your mouth with crunchy prociuto to contrast. I wish I could die with that flavor... Then I'd be ready to go heaven.
Sweet potato soup was creamy yet non viscous. Maybe it stand to be more viscous, nevertheless, that is a matter of preference.
I digress, that soup is fabulous, an even flavor with that has depth yet is in the continuation of its simple format.
I'm writing this now and yet have not finished all my courses. So, you can imagine how I feel about this food.
Alert, all foodies cone to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid lunch spot with good menu selection and service. We ordered the Iceland cod and seabass with rice. Both were good, although the Iceland cod was a bit salty for me. I believe it's because they use a lot of salted cod so you may think it's salty if you aren't use to it. The seabass was quite large so you could share between two people and order one or two starters. Overall the food was a good, the price was just slightly pricy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A local recommended this place and glad that we went there. I booked in advanced because the restaurant is very small. The service was top and formal. The food was great, the meat was very tender, the sweet potatoes were very delicious. They offered free wine for our anniversary as a surprise. The chef came to tables and discussed a little about the food. Unforgettable memory! Don’t miss this place if you visit Coimbra.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent spot for dinner! My husband and I showed up not super hungry so we ordered a few tapas - cheese plate, meat croquettes, and horse mackerel tartare (not pictured). We thoroughly enjoyed all of them and the wine!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best meals we’ve had in all of Portugal. Every dish was outstanding. The boar was definitely our favorite. The cow smoked ham was super unique and delicious. For dessert, we had the rice pudding with port poached pears - so good! Amazing service! Lovely setting. Definitely need a reservation.
