★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good brunch and friendly service! We took pancakes (you can design your own), a bagel and an açai bowl and everything was good! Take maybe less than us as we had some trouble to finish haha.
The place seems trendy, be ready to wait or go at the opening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ tl;dr: yes. Just yes. Just remember to bring cash.
I have a thing for brunch. I don’t know how to explain it, it’s kinda like a calling of sorts. Give me some nicely presented breakfast food and I’m a happy camper. This is what I got here, plus the best waiter ever.
I was slightly lucky to get a table here because the waiter told me there’s usually quite the line (and it did begin forming later). There are 5 fixed brunch menus, custom pancake options plus some extras like different fruit juices, bagels and other stuff I didn’t pay attention to. Menu number 4 had an açaí bowl so that’s what I went for, plus a tuna bagel.
Food tasted good, beverages tasted good, coffee was dirt cheap. What more can you ask for? Lots of foreigners here for some reason.
The young man who was waiting the tables is the best waiter ever. Portuguese guy who speaks English with a mild Texan accent. Greets everyone so enthusiastically and just seems quite happy to be there doing his thing. Gave me bakery recommendations. His presence makes the experience here more joyful! Very happy without my time here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious "build your own pancakes" with a ton of options. We got there at 10:05 on a Saturday and there was a 40 minute wait for a table. Well worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overrated. On Sunday the line was so long, we couldn’t get in, but because of the nice things we heard we tried again on Tuesday.
The waiting was badly organized, there were free tables but they kept us waiting outside. They locked the door with a key so I coulndn’t use the toilet or check the menu while waiting.
After this, the waiter’s ,,performance” was a bit too much, he tried to upsell too hard and was joking all the time even though we weren’t in the mood.
The coffee was the worst I’ve had in Porto, and the breakfast menu was weird - the egg was cold, texture and seasoning wasn’t nice. We asked for an omlette with a cheese (I thought it would be melted or something), but it was just cheap raw cheese straight out of the package.
However, the food was pretty quick, and the sweet pancakes which is the speciality dish were really nice! Also liked the interior and the toilets were clean.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrive early or prepare to queue. This is a deservedly popular cafe with an almost infinite range of sweet and savoury pancakes, and other delicious light meals. We came for the pancakes and weren’t disappointed. Select from a range of batter styles, fruit, toppings and sauces. Amazing!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot for brunch, be aware that it is cash only, no card! The food was delicious and they had vegan and vegetarian options. Very cosy inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here for pancakes of course! You can get vegan pancakes here too. They were really good. I wish there was a chocolate option with the vegan ones but otherwise I can't complain. The service was also really good. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O Diplomata is a cute cafe with a design your own pancakes menu. These are definitely the best pancakes you will find in Porto. We ordered one stack with chantilly and strawberries and a second stack with caramel, chantilly, and Portuguese biscuit crumble. I wish that maple syrup came standard with the pancakes rather than as a topping, because while the stacks were delicious, it felt like something was missing.
We also tried the toast with goat cheese, eggplant, and jam. It was good, but had more goat cheese than any of the other toppings. I wish the menu had more savory options including additional options for eggs beyond just scrambled eggs.
The service was great, Elena our host and server, was energetic and super friendly. I definitely recommend this cafe for pancakes and a great vibe. Please note, they are a cash only establishment.
