★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our favourite traditional restaurant in Lagos with small but excellent menu . Gilberto and his staff are great fun and really know their fish . The sardines and Cataplana are terrific! Good for lunch or a nice evening out . Can be hard to find but it’s up the hill near the cemetery so that’s a good landmark to bare in mind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ amazing! we ordered prawn and mackeral but ended up getting all you can eat sardines as well just cuz they were making so many. the hot sauce is bomb as well. i think the chef just loves grilling fish

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is easy to miss and very unattractive, however, the food is superb and the hospitality by the owner on point. We tried to order different dishes but the owner stated that he would not purchase, and thus cook, fish that was off season or up to par. If we wanted to eat off season fish we could go somewhere else. He then showed us the fresh fish of the day and told us these were our options. This dedication to the fish means that anyone eating there will only eat full grown quality fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their unlimited sardines is a must try when you are in Lagos! Fresh, affordable and very tasty! Though we ordered the mixef fish for variety, the sardines are long gone when our dish arrived. Love this local Portuguese place! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super typical restaurant. The freshest sardines! It’s super fun if you understand the humour and attitude but they are definitely more friendly to locals than foreigners. Bear that in mind and enjoy the fresh fish!

Arrived around 8:15: no more Sardines.
We were so sad and ordered mixed fish grilled for three... and it was amazing.
The host doesn’t show much, but they are nice. They had around 8 Sardines left, and gave us some, because there were not too many clients.
The food was amazing, and I highly recommend this place.
