★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the food is not bad but the service is lousy, slow (we had to get up to the bar to pay after asking insistently from the table) and rude Especially from a young waiter who was very rude and hostile to us, he seemed to it bothered to attend to us. I do not recommend it, there are restaurants with equally good food and much better service...

Delighted to see that the menu has not suffered as some others have. They still do excellent value fresh fish, for example.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had Seabass and my husband had Lamb chops with the most beautiful mint sauce he ever had. Staff very friendly and the dog had a bowl of water and even a goodie without asking for it. 10/10

You cannot beat the scenery, right on the beach.
WARNING: hard to find, both GPS(garmin and Google maps both show incorrent location, they are on the boardwalk at the Portimao Marina.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had visited this restaurant on several occasions. This is pleasant restaurant with polite n friendly staff. Unfortunately their cappuccino is not Italian style is just a coffee with milk or whipped cream, but still taste nice

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O Farol is located at the head of the boulevard. Because the neighbors were renovating, it was quite noisy outside, but that didn't spoil the fun.
Although it was pleasantly busy on the terrace, the staff remained friendly. The food ordered was fine, but not outstanding. But you don't expect that from a beach bar. In fact it is, but the sea is very far away. You need binoculars to see the waves ;)
Because of this location, one star less in my opinion, but overall a great location for a quick pit stop.
