Although the food was good, the prices were too high - especially for the wine, which was excessively expensive. In this particular instance, we paid 15 euros for a bad wine which would have probably cost 2 euros at a supermarket and no more than 7 euros at another restaurant. There are many other places in Lisbon that offer similar (or better) food and wines for much more friendly prices. And that's without mentioning the discriminatory service: me and my mother are Brazilians, and all the other tables that had Germans, French or Italians had much quicker and more attentive service. Never going back there.

Very expensive restaurant. We asked for a "bacalhau" and the fish that had came wasn't a real "bacalhau" as the picture shows.

I had a lunch today- salmon (not a very big portion), with salad and rice, alco-free beer and a coffee. I paid 17 euros ( coffee 1,5 e) which I think it’s a high price comparatively to other portuguese typical restaurants. The food was okay and the waitress was very kind, but I’m not coming back.

Small family place with incredible food. Very nice service, it made me feel welcomed after a long trip. It is impossible not to find your wine here.

Very authentic and friendly place with regional cuisine visited by Portuguese as well as tourists from abroad. Relatively small and narrow space adds to the charm. Cod fish baked in a pan with veggies and cream was delicious. Quiet recording of fado blends nicely with environment.

Pricey and not great experience of Portuguese traditional food. Wanted carapauzinhos fritos com arroz de grelos (small mackerel with turnip green rice) but wasn't available so ordered petinga com arroz de feijão (whitebait with red kidney bean rice) but the whitebait lacked salt and the rice had lots of other ingredients besides red kidney beans. Ten Euros for a 3.75 bottle of house red wine seemed also a rip off. Paid €24.00 in total which was quite expensive for the experience.

Mom and pops type of atmosphere with great inexpensive food and wine. They really make you feel welcome and have a good experience. Beware, some of the reviews here are actually for the place next door, As Velhas, which is a different restaurant.

This little restaurant that we found by chance was truly amazing. We ordered the seafood rice and bacalao rice. The portions were very generous, one dish would have been enough for the two of us. The flavors of the rice were absolutely delicious. The service was great and the prices were not exorbitant. I highly recommend ordering the seafood rice.
