★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The real authentic Portuguese kitchen. The owners don't speak English, but their son does. You will always get french fried and rice with meat or fish. Simple but nice and authentic. And that is what I appriciate (when in Portugal, do as the Portuguese do), although it will not become my favorite kitchen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got the grumpy one. The gin tasted like something else. It was a bit wrong tonight. Normally it is amazing. Normally the guys are brilliant. But not tonight. I know there is one brother that let's the other two down. Maybe this was him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just like an authentic Portuguese restaurant. Great food, good house wine, straightforward service. I had a Chanfana for the first time and it was really good - perhaps too heavy for dinner, but perfect if you are going for a walk afterwards. Sit outside if weather permits and you'll have an authentic experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An authentic restaurant in Pátio da Inquisição. Genuine service. Delicious mains ( we had grilled mackerel and last time grilled sardines ), equally good jug of red wine ( a caneca ), and scrumptious deserts. The restaurant has 10 tables on the south facing patio and about 20 inside. When we arrived the patio was full, but the waiter went to the store cupboard and set another table for us. All for 20 euros for two people, amazing. The Restaurant O Patio is a lovely experience on a sunny day. Parking is for 12 cars on the patio, otherwise good parking for 50 spaces at the nearby council market building.

Really rustic dishes with large portions. Two mains feeds 3-4 people almost
Goat in red wine and pork shank, absolutely amazing really
A bottle of wine is 4€ and went quite well with the meal
Total bill was 26€ for heaps of good food, olives and sardine at the start, 2 beers and a bottle of wine and a desert
Staff is relaxed and serves when they want to serve, but very friendly
The place is crammed after sun down so come early
