About Ocean Camper - Campervan Rental Faro
*Please note: None of our insurance options cover the following damage or loss:
- Personal items, car equipment, or damage to the interior (e.g. seats, interior walls, radio, etc.)
- Damage caused by vandalism or theft from the vehicle;
Fines (parking, etc.) or damage caused by improper or negligent use or incorrect fuel; - Damages caused by someone else to our car without complete documentation of the accident: If you are innocently involved in an accident, the other party involved in the accident pays the damage to the rental vehicle. But: It is your duty to identify the other party and those involved in the accident (vehicle registration number, names and contact details) and to document the course of the accident (report, photos, etc., if necessary, police protocol). Otherwise, you alone will bear all the damage.
- Additional to the security deposit, we ask you for a 100€ fuel deposit. This deposit is needed to cover risks for fines, empy tanks on return, and other costs not coverd by your insurance package.
Don´t worry be happy: In the event of an accident, we are always available for you (24/7) and help you to contact the police, deal with the paperwork, identify the guilty, and everything that is necessary for a transparent handling of the incident. This service is free!

Everything worked out really well - we got picked up from the airport, the van was clean, had multiple opportunities for outdoor activities and cooking, everything was explained really well and the website is really helpful for insider tips to do and information about travelling during Covid-19! The car has everything you need and The size is perfect for two people :)

It was my first experience with a camper and these guys will certainly be my place to go any time I can do that again.
All I can say is that they are so professional and very communicative. A team anyone can rely on.
I had the pleasure to go with the new Vagabond camper and had no issues whatsoever.
I had to extend my rental an extra day and they provide all the flexibility not just with my return but also helping me with transportation from/to the airport. Their office by the way is so close and conveniently located, next to FAO airport.
Thumbs up.

β β β β β I had the best vacation ever with my vagabond! be it at the 6.45am morning surf, supplying me with coffee, or the lunch time nap, giving me a comfortable place to rest before driving off to the next beach. equipped with all camping gear you can imagine, I could easily travel with only hand luggage and safe money on the flights, while even being picked up at and brought back to the airport for free.
And if that all wouldnβt be enough already, the staff is the sweetest, most uncomplicated I have ever encountered.
I can nothing but recommend this perfect way of traveling around portugal! <3

The team is so nice, they picked us up at the airport and drop us off at the hostel we were staying for one night more.
Emilia is very kind and she gave us all the information we need for a nice 5 days journey in the Kangoo van.
It was fully equipped, even with a big water container, a shower and a battery to charge our phones.
No more words needed : Perfect!

β β β β β I would highly recommend this company if you want to rent a car and get lost in a beauty of Portugal.
Me and my girlfriend rented out a vagabond van for 4 days and explored beaches and places.
Emilia texted us 1 day prior to arrival with all the info we needed + they picked us from the city and dropped us back in the city after our trip what we found very helpful as an extra service.
When we arrived there we checked the car together and Emilia explained us how everything works and answered all our questions.
Then she sent us links regarding camping rules in Portugal and camps where we could stay overnight.
I day before check-out I received a message about check-out process so we had enough time to prepare everything.
They are always available on WhatsApp or phone in case you need.
The car is made in a very practical way for everyday use whether it's a kitchen or shower.
Overall I am very satisfied with a level of service and professionalism from their side and will use this company next time for sure!

β β β β β The highest recommendation I have ever given any company, goes to Ocean Camper! I have rented cars in many countries in Europe and in South Africa, but this was a rental experience beyond anything I would have imagined.
We were two people renting the van for a week to drive around in the Algarve region in the beginning of December 2021 and the whole experience was just made perfect for us.
The pickup from the airport went smoothly. The car was clean, well equipped and matched the images on the website. The people running the business are so service-minded, friendly and customer obsessed that I almost could not believe it. We got tips and recommendations for an app for finding camping sites, tips for restaurants and bars, we got to use some free stuff others had left behind - they even had a small "library" shelf and I borrowed a book from there ?
Always easy to reach via Whatsapp and no issues during the rental.
Handover went smoothly and we could even deliver the car a bit later like we asked to.
They were also super flexible when it came to drop-off at the airport, as we had some special wishes ?
I cannot recommend this business enough and hope many new customers in 2022 get to try out campervaning with them in Portugal. β€οΈ

β β β β β We travelled around the Algarve and Alentejo with the Vagabond Campervan for a month (mid September - mid October) and it was just perfect.
The van is large enough to sleep in, and small enough to drive you anywhere, from old towns to the mountains, the van will get you there. The van is also well equipped with an outdoor kitchen, fridge, shower and comfortable bed (and much more, see their website for details). If something was unclear or not working properly during our trip, we immediately received adequate support over whatsapp. Ocean Campers is a small, Portugese company and you feel that: they run the business with love and dedication.
Weβd absolutely recommend renting this van if you like a comfortable adventure.
