I've family who lives in Lagos, so I come about once a year. And a stop st the padaria Central for pastel de nata is an absolute must! You will not be dissapointed.
They're the oldest bakery in town and the know-how is tangible. Just go, take my word for it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite Bakery in Lagos! Everything at this shop is yummy and it's a local family owned biz. Even as a tourist you could tell this place was a local favourite. They have a wide selection of sweet and savoury delights. I loved the bacalau pasteis, I miss them.
Over our five day stay in Lagos we tried over ten different things and liked them all. I've gone to the shop early in the morning and it's even busy then! Also, I know it's standard for Portugal, but the fresh orange juice...SO good.

Nice place in a good location. I stopped here with my group a couple of times for breakfast. We tried different things and it was all great. They make some bite size almond treats that were absolutely delicious. We left with a bag full to snack on for the rest of the trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This pastry shop is nice as it serves assorted pastries and the area is clean. Although there is a line but it moved quickly.
I tried the egg tarts (ok in general) but could have been better if the tarts were warmer/ hot. The almond tart was special however as it has a really nice flavour.
The custard bun was really good as it was served warm, hence making it really fluffy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We'd rather the pastel des natas more in Lisbon, Mantegaria. Here the eggs are baked in the cream.
I loved my moringue pastry and the fresh orange juice. The croissant ? tastes like bread ? though.
