Em 1906, é construído o novo edifício, o qual, a partir de 1978, sofreu
grandes alterações, sendo restaurado e ampliado.
O templo, com planta cruciforme e nave única, é de construção eclética,
em que se destaca o estilo neoclássico. O interior assumiu um estilo
despojado, “contemporâneo” (no último quartel do século XX), tendo
sido retirados os altares e decorações de talha neoclássica, ficando as
imagens (do séc. XVII ao XX) colocadas em mísulas. Também foram
aplicados novos vitrais, com temática alusiva à Beata Alexandrina.
Uma “capela” retangular, ao lado do altar-mor, abriga o túmulo de Alexandrina de Balasar, beatificada a 25 de Abril de 2004.
The former parish church was moved to its current location in 1892.
In 1906, the new building was built, which, from 1978 onwards, underwent
major changes, being restored and expanded.
The temple, with a cruciform plan and a single nave, is of eclectic construction,
in which the neoclassical style stands out. The interior took on a style
stripped down, "contemporary" (in the last quarter of the 20th century), having
altars and decorations of neoclassical carving were removed, leaving the
images (17th to 20th century) placed in corbels. were also
new stained glass windows were applied, with themes related to Blessed Alexandrina.
A rectangular “chapel”, next to the main altar, houses the tomb of Alexandrina de Balasar, beatified on April 25, 2004.
