★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a slot to take a look at the rock art and it was truly an experience. The guide was always ready to answer any questions and was truly passionate about explaining the rock art that we saw. There were only a few of us in the group so there was no rush at all and we took our time learning about the rock art. I spent some time at the museum too, and while it was quite sparse and I think I was there when it was undergoing some exhibition renovations, I did enjoy myself wandering around and listening to the audio guide. It's a small museum, so you'll probably be able to spend about 2 hours there. Do spend some time going up to the rooftop though - there's amazing views there too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive and unique!
Extraordinary architecture that fits perfectly into the landscape!
If you have a chance, go for a guided tour to the valley, don‘t miss, but check on times with good light conditions, so it is easier to see the „paintings“
Thanks again to the wonderful staff that supported us so well!
The restaurant is worth a visit - the view on the Douro and Coã is breathtaking! Perfect for a sundowner ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must see and visit at Foz Côa.
Excellent museum, excellent views, the interactions are top. The museum restaurant is just amazing. I recommend the wild mushrooms with rice, a typical dish from Trás-dos-Montes region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were doubting to come all this way but are so glad we did. It was very cool seeing the rock art and the guide was amazing. Antonio knew everything there was about the valley, even what flowers the bee get their honey from. He was also just a nice, fun guy.
This is so worth it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unique and well organized museum. Had no idea about the sheet rock carvings in the Paleolithic and pre-history era. Well spaced rooms and interaction exhibits.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place but finally few information to contextualize the litographies.
It looks more as a museum for children... Only copies are exposed in the museum, you have to pay an extra fee for each excursion you want to do if you want to see real pieces and you have to reserve for that
A walking parh along the mountain would be far better but is not possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There's not much original carvings to see in the museum and the exhibits are confusing. Cafe was great but no outdoor seating (great views).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to learn about prehistoric art. The Audio guide gives you a lot of information and the replica with the explication are worth seeing.
Plan around 2 hours to make the most of your visit.
