1- The foreign press is yesterday's.
2- If you want a foreign paper, likely as not the kid (yes, the kid) at the counter won't bother to untie the bundle on the floor and will just tell you they haven't got it, even though it is a sheer lie - I've occasionally seen it with my very eyes. We've even done an experiment: one member of my family asks for the paper (no for an answer), then somebody else does the same 20 minutes later (a reluctant yes).
3- Finally, they're unkind as can be, they'll never give you a smile and will barely even say hello.
I've grown sick and tired of giving them yet another chance day after day and year after year. I'll read the news online from now on.
