Pine Cliffs Hotel, a Luxury Collection Resort, Algarve - Praia Da Falésia Pinhal Do Concelho

Room was lovely, very clean and spacious. All the staff were polite and professional. Cafe, o’grill and pescado Restaurant food was ok, not fantastic and therefore was expensive for the quality and also o’grill could do with a different menu to the cafe and should be open for dinner. Mare was very good. Garden service for food and drink was very slow, not enough staff. Breakfast was excellent. All pools were too cold apart from the one that’s heated. Grounds and buildings are immaculate and very well maintained.

We stayed at Pine Cliffs from 16/8/21 until 25/8/21. We stayed here before in July 2014 and decided to return here. Good memories. We already knew the beautiful layout, location, build quality. We were already acquainted with all services and amenities. Some tips to further improve service quality: - A few days in, I went to the reception desk and asked to extend my stay. The desk clerk asked someone to help him with this, and after a few minutes waiting they confirmed it had been arranged. Unfortunately, a few days later when we returned to our room, around 5pm, we found it had not been cleaned. We also received a call asking us why we did not leave. Clearly, our extension request had not been processed correctly. - At checkout, I asked to use a Euro creditcard instead of a Dollar creditcard, but staff insisted that I had to use the Dollar one that had a block on it, at least for part of the transaction. They could have easily put a block on the Euro card and release the Dollar card block after, but they refused. That's odd. - Due to the high season and post-COVID travel wave, the hotel was almost at capacity. Management had put up a warning that it would be busy at breakfast. Could have spread out the tables a bit more. as well as parts of the buffet. It was uncomfortably crowded at times. - The food quality in Piri Piri restaurant was sub par. Had expected better. Food was overcooked and not entirely hot anymore. The Pescador fish restaurant was good but similar or slightly better quality compared to other restaurants, albeit triple the price of other places just outside the gate. I don't mind paying a premium but I would like to see that favor returned on my plate.

A beautifully presented hotel, staff were excellent and level of service was exceptional. However the dining experience was shocking. Breakfast buffet was average at best, Caesar salad is over priced and fairly tasteless. However the worst experience came at the Piri Piri steakhouse. This was the feature night of our stay so we decided for this restaurant. The steaks were priced expensively so I was expecting something special. I ordered a Ribeye which was small, tasteless and overcooked. My wife went for a fillet which was cooked perfectly but again was tasteless. So disappointing from a top resort. I will note I did not complain on the night as it was an anniversary dinner and I didn't want to cause any commotion but I honestly feel robbed. This dining experience left a sour taste for what should have been a memorable stay. I would recommend the hotel but would find somewhere else to eat.

We stayed for 10 days 9 nights (from mid Sept 2021) and had a great time throughout our entire stay at the resort! We booked Deluxe Queen Resort View and the room was lovely spacious (love the bathroom!), although we requested for a room change after a night as the room has steps between the sitting area and bed which wasn't ideal for a 21 month old toddler. The staff were very accommodating and moved us to a similar room with much better location closer to the main building! Few comments: Negative: (1) The Porto Pirata including the kids pool seemed dull and wasn't well-maintained. During the low peak season, some kids activity i.e. bird/reptile shows are cancelled. A coffee shop near the kids pool/Porto Pirata will be handy for parents. (2) Only Corda Cafe serves lunch in the hotel area so there's limited food choice (O'Grill was closed). (due to low peak season) (3) Pool near O'Pescador can be slightly heated for kids. We always have to travel to the Golf clubhouse as the pool temperature is perfect for kids. (4) Coffee served in the clubhouse was a bit of disappointment, cost 5euro for half of the paper cup. Positive: (1) Amazing cliff and garden views, friendly and helpful staff, great facilities, resort shuttle drivers are very friendly, great service. (2) Food in O'Pescador is excellent. (3) Massage at the Spa was sooo good it's worth the experience. (4) Although some services are closed during low season, we still enjoyed every minute of our stay as the resort didn't seem so busy and crowded. Overall our holiday was well-spent in the resort! and will definitely be back!

There are few resorts like this outside of the Middle-East. The building itself is superb, lots of space, attention to detail and spotlessly clean. The beach is easy to access but the loungers are well packed in. We prefer to use the gardens which were stunning. Umbrella pines so lots of shade if you want it, loungers are well spaced out, and easy access to pools and an excellent pool bar. All smoothies were made with fresh fruit, Caribbean take note. Not all restaurants promoted on the website were open, one hadn't been open for some years which was disappointing and a bit naughty. Food and drinks were expensive, but you know that before you arrived. There should however be more use of fresh veg in the restaurants, especially at these prices. Overall, and excellent resort, and we may well be back

Beautiful resort located on the cliffs with beach access. Lovely property with comfortable accommodations, various pools, a walking trail and restaurants. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Tiago was most courteous and helpful during check in and he and other staff members, Julia, Hugo and Mariana gave a wonderful first impression of Pine Cliffs. We stayed in the Ocean Suites and the Serenity Spa thermal area was very nice and relaxing, especially at the end of a day of exploring Algarve. Staff at the spa were nice and friendly. Mare restaurant is conveniently located right off the beach for a nice lunch with beach views. Be sure to catch the lovely sunsets at the champagne bar or on the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here.

Fantastic hotel. I always love the luxury collection hotels and this one did not disappoint. Room was very nice and the property was amazing. Couldn’t believe the views from the courtyard. Staff was amazing. Food was very good. Great stay overall, and you can’t beat it for the price!

Beautiful accommodation with also bigger rooms (we were in a spacious garden apartment with three bedrooms and three bathrooms) for families. Golf course is extra special with spectacular sea views from the cliff. Pine trees and gardens with flowers complete the exteriors of the resort into an oasis. Also cool: the adorable cats (healthy and fed) on the resort! Multiple swimming pools, a gym, 5 restaurants and lift to the beach complete the experience. Absolute great place to stay. Tip: also visit the restaurants in the street directly outside the resort. Great Italian and fish restaurants!
