Best Public swimming pool in portugal

P	Phil Braz on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had a big revamp...for the worst. No more bar to get drinks and ice creams, also no food allowed in the beautiful picnic area...go figure! But the pool is lovely and refreshing.
f	fairy opi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monchique is the most beautiful place in the world in my opinion. Not just for how it looks but also due to the people that live there. The swimming pool is brilliant. Outdoor pool is only open in summer when the schools are closed due to people like me skiving school to go swimming in the old days ? I don't use the indoor pool because you have to wear a swimming cap and I can't stand them. Both pools are always nice and clean though and there's nothing nicer on a summers day than to jump in for a splash. There's also a gym there, I hear good things but I avoid the gym as much as i do swimming caps...
E	E Le Prevost on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Colder than some pools, but very clean and spacious with outdoor picnicing in the park environment available just outside the fenced-off swimming area. There are two adjacent pools: a very nice junior pool which is 60cm, and an adult pool which is up to 2m deep. Monchique is a lovely twin and there are pleasant places close by, where one can eat and drink. Free parking.

In order to access the pool we were told we had to visit the town hall to register and receive a card - we visited the town hall only to be told that the mayor is away so couldn’t personally sign off the request to access the pool. LOL. Classic PT.
j	j k on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were only a few people in the pool. however to enter as a foreigner you will need some sort of card from the muncipality office. The muncipality told me that the printer does not work and therefore they cannot print a foreigners card. I asked them to email a card to show on the phone but this was allegedly not possible. Someone else explained that they just do not want foreigners in their swimming pool and therefore use this excuse.
