We only ordered wine, water, and bread and despite the fact. that our bill was under 10 euros, he treated us like we ordered the best steak in the restaurant! So attentive and helpful. We really appreciated it! Also, the white wine was great and I can't believe how much artisanal bread, high quality olive oil and butter, and olives you get for €1.50! We will definitely be back!

Long wait to be given menu after being sat down and 10 minutes for plates to be taken despite everyone having finished and waiters walking past our table. Also served starters and had to wait 2 minutes to be given cutlery, by which point friends hot starter was slightly cool. The manager who was serving our table asked me also if I would like my chicken cooked medium. That I find unusual. Prawn salad starter was very flavoursome and well seasoned. Chicken breast main course was slightly burnt on the grill however was moist. Dish required a sauce however. Wild mushrooms on the dish had been over cooked and were slightly dry/crispy, despite clearly having been cooked in butter. Friends steak was well cooked but lacking seasoning. Their peppercorn sauce tasted purely like double cream and contained 1 peppercorn, tasting nothing like the supposed name. A disappointment considering the restaurants impressive reviews and the cost of food.
J	John Berger on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Food, Great Drinks, Excellent Service - Is the trifecta you will get at the Porter Bistro in the Corpo Santo Hotel on Rua do Arsenel. The reasonable prices are an added bonus. Christopher, the restaurant’s morning manager, and Jose, the evening manager, are professional, attentive, friendly and helpful and so is their staff. Luis and Weslen, the bar tenders, make creative drinks - I highly recommend the margarita in the ceramic calabaza. As for the food, your breakfast starts with assorted breads, fruits, cheeses and coffee before you even get to the entree. I recommend the Eggs Benedict with salmon. Dinners range from delicious dorado to tasty tenderloin. As a nice touch, small paper bags are on the table for your face masks (hopefully Portugal’s Covid rules will change soon) and there is a packaged sanitizer wipe for your hands. I have been in Lisbon for three weeks and have eaten at Porter’s multiple times - and the food, drinks and service have been consistent. Helpful Hint - Porter’s is near the Corpo Santo transfer station and the Cais do Sodré station. So, start your day at Porter’s and then your adventure in Lisboa or end your day at Porter’s and go for an evening walk along the Av. Ribeira das Naus.
