★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and lowcost way to stay in Porto. Our room is in the ground floor, but with a window. Breakfast is simple and good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful but shabby. Comfortable with good breakfast. Good location. However with the nightclub opposite that
throws out at 6 am complete with hotdogs stand sleep is nigh impossible

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel has nice staff and a nice atmosphere when you enter. Sadly that is the only really positive thing we are able to say..
The room looks quite nice and is clean. The bed on the other hand is terrible. Furthermore the hotel is very noisy. You can litterally hear everything that is happening in the whole building. It sounds like someone is moving furniture constantly... The breakfast is okay, but is not replenished well. Great coffee though!
A few things that happend to us:
- The room was not cleaned when requested
- When requested for new towels, they hung the old and dirty ones (which were laying on the dirty floor!) to use again. Their excuse: "We had difficulties with the washingmachine."
- We woke up every morning around 8 am. because of staff talking loudly in front of our door.
- There is a (door)bell ringing all the time, which is really annoying.
Conclusion: After five nights in this hotel we need another holiday to recover from this one..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our room was quite big, situated half under ground just next to the road but there wasn't rush from the street. I felt here just like on the holiday in North Africa, very well designed place! Everything here is old but clean, breakfast is basic but fresh. The staff here is absolutly amazing. Price versus quality is well balanced. Five minutes of walk from the nearest metro station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After reading reviews, I was nervous about staying here. It seems like some people have had bad experiences here, but my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We slept on the 3rd floor in an economy double room. Everything was clean and seemed to be in good condition. Our door had a sturdy lock, and we felt safe and comfortable leaving our valuables behind when we went out.
Breakfast was excellent, considering that it was included in the price of our room: an assortment of breads and cereals, cheese and different spreads, coffee, tea, and juice.
If we return to Porto, we would be happy to stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ve traveled extensively round many parts of the world over several decade. I've always valued character and charm over luxury. The Porto Riad had character in abundance. I love the Morroccan style and the friendly people who run it.
I could not find a more amenable place to stay anywhere.
