★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here three nights. We booked via the website and asked for another room but only the 'family room' was available. Therefore we expected a bit more space than this tiny room. One bed and a wardrobe downstairs and via a small steep stair a double bed upstairs. That's it. No room to sit together as a family. No place to put your clothes or suitcase, suitcase does not fit under bed either.
The tiny bathroom is downstairs, so at night you have to take the small stairs downstairs in the dark (via the room where the 2nd bed is) to go to the bathroom. The bathroom does not have any shelves or other place to leave your toiletries.
No wifi in the room either, but when there are no check-ins the staff is gone and close the public area (breakfast room with connection to the garden). So people are sitting on the stairs to connect to wifi.
At night when people come in late, you hear the front door and people on the stairs. So it can be noisy...
Breakfast is OK, but for this price I would expect a boiled egg or fresh coffee...
Area is perfect and close to the hotspots and guest house is clean.
Oh, no credit- and debit cards accepted!
Ps: this room is not suitable for elderly people, children or the disabled!
Guesthouse does not have an elevator and all rooms can only be reached via stairs...
Towels and linen are only changed once every three days, which is OK by me, but then have a towel rack so that my towels are dry when I have to reuse them the next day...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very disappointed. For the price demanded and paid other options may deliver better value, and be paid by credit/debit card. Not here ... cash only. Please note this guest house has no lift for baggage or people and I may also add...no soul. I had the attic room (up the top) so it’s a long way to haul all the luggage needed on a European trip in winter. The room was clean but exceedingly plain. There is no “Do not Disturb “ option if you are not seeking room service. Good sized room and en-suite was a benefit. There are no or very few adornments on the wall throughout the house. You will see pleasant pictures of the Terrace online, but at least in my stay, it was out of bounds even when requested for use! The building is cold and plain and effectively operates as an Air BNB without the usual ABNB benefits. The stair bannister and stair treads are deliciously vintage evoking a bygone era...but little else does. There is no full time reception on duty and only operates at organised times. The wifi is terrible to non existent other than in the breakfast room which like the Terrace is closed off immediately after breakfast time is concluded. The Guest House Hotel has no areas to breakout to, no lounge chairs or other chairs in other areas to relax or work in. As I work and travel I was significantly impacted. If you need wifi you spend your time on the stairs. The hotel location is OK but is on the farthest edge of the old city area. Nonetheless distances to the main area are walkable... as you pass any number of other accommodation options you will only look at enviably. It was a recommendation to use this place... not again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exquisite service. Delightful staff. Beautiful restore property. The breakfast was perfect and the location suited us amazingly. When you pull up you may be scared as the street looks rough but we had no issues at all. Passerbyers on the street were friendly and helpful. All in all we would stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a beautiful B&B, very helpful and knowledgeable host. It only has a handful of large very stylish rooms in an old townhouse. Beds are very comfortable, breakfast is huge and delicious. It's quiet at night despite bars and restaurants close by. Walking distance to main sights.
Sadly unable to open windows, need to rely on AC. The WiFi connection wasn't great but that did not really cause problems for us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place full of lovely details. They had preserved the heritage of this old building, but made it enjoyable for the nowadays usage. The room is large and has a balcony with view for the backyard, everything is silent here. The amenities also great, the welcome drink and breakfast.
