★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fine pousada with personal attention in its small scale. This pousada was blighted by a three lane road - but that has now been superceded by the tunneling of the motorway and calm has returned!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming hotel with amazing views. Breakfast is good and the restaurant has great food with large portions. Swimming pool is small but usually not crowded. Rooms are clean and large enough, but a bit dated. The twin rooms have good beds, but the double rooms have a fairly small, squeaky and uncomfortable beds. Something we found annoying was that you had to go ask the reception for everything. We only had 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper when we arrived with no back-up roll, we had no soaps/shampoo etc. Hosts are friendly though, especially in the restaurant. I would recommend the hotel, but not for longer than 1 or 2 nights.
A hint for when you're in the restaurant: take a full menu, because it will be cheaper than just ordering a main course.
