★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice clean beach with lots of shops and places to eat nearby. I would definitely recommend renting a parasol and sun loungers (€12 for the day) as it guarantees you a bit more space and gets you on the quieter bit of the beach, but get there early to get one on the front row, nearest the sea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awsome beach with cafes and restaurants right in front of it, many of them have live music in the evenings. There are benches with trees to relax and watch ocean waves, I spent hours there. One can enjoy the Algarve summer crowd and buzz at Quarteira beach in a lively and very friendly environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good golden sands which is great. Limited areas to put your towel out without having to pay for a lounger. Very busy with commercial loungers which take up large sections of the beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous beach with promenade, shops & toilets behind you. Only 10 euros for the whole day for 2 sun loungers and a big square straw parasol for when it gets too hot. Very relaxing

Just 15 minutes a day is all you really need, but you go ahead and spend as long as you want soaking up the rays in the Sunshine State.Take a few moments to stop and notice how it feels against your skin.
