Why ripe delicious cherries are left to rotten in trees while guest are eating supermarket watermelon at breakfast?

All staff is very gentle and polite .Very good receptionists with a warm welcome. We would like special thanks to Joao at the restaurant for looking after us very nice person to meet with lots of knowledge that help us enjoy the beautiful Douro valley we felt as home. J	Jasmin Parasol on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place with amazing view! The location of the quinta is the best! Boutique hotel in the hills of the Douro valley, such a beautiful property. Te staff are so nice and attentive, and the rooms are cozy, clean, modern and well equipped; the shower and the toilets are very nice, there’s an a/c, flat screen tv and a mini refrigerator. There are outdoor and indoor pools, sauna, tennis court and more facilities. The breakfast is very good, with all kinds of homemade pastries and jams. The place is really great! The things we didn’t like were the price of dinner, which was 28€ for each person, without wine and drinks. I’m sure it was very good, but a little pricey in our opinion. Another thing we missed was a laundry service, they don’t do it anymore... We highly recommend to book at this place, and we would love to come back.
A	Arthur Campos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is perfect for a peaceful holiday. However, the Quinta is old and the wood furniture dilapidated, especially the cupboards. Otherwise one had all facilities, eg, covered and outdoor swimming pools, including sauna. Restaurant was OK but the wines very good. Service is also very good and the personnel do their best to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

It seems like it has been neglected for a long time and feels left behind. The showers were a bit moldy. The indoor pool area seemed dirty and smelled fishy. The restaurant was very expensive but the food not good at all. Veggie options very poor (when we asked if there were veggie starters they just said 'no worries, you dont have to eat them' but didn't offer an alternative or price reduction for the menu). Also the breakfast was very basic and of medium quality (even though described by the staff as one of the highlights of the place). The surrounding area was very beautiful though.
