Friendly service, modern facilities, spacious rooms in an amazing location in the middle of Douro Wine country. Traditional Portuguese dishes with a home made feeling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where should I begin to explain how much I love a place like Quinta do Vallado? Perhaps first, the incredible eye for detail! Rosemary branches on the pillows and cocktail recipes in the hotel room. The organically sourced dinner and breakfast, wine service all around the hotel. Including an educational daytime wine tasting. Overall room and hotel design. I'll come back one day and stay longer then ;-)

We’re only stayed for one night but right from the start we felt welcome. The hotel and the rooms are beautiful and modern. The staff was very helpful and friendly and even provided a vegan dinner menu for us.
I also recommend the wine tasting!
I’d stay again any time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly enjoyed staying here 4 nights. The architecture is unique and well done but the most memorable part was the 2 hour long evening dinners. Each course so delicious and paired well with their wines. The atmosphere is so relaxing. The views spectacular and of course the wines and port just top it all off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From all the Quintas we have been, seems like we have a favorite. Vallado has a very strong brand, amazing wines and the hotel is very cozy together with the amazing staff. There is electric charging which is another bonus. The wine tasting is included and takes around 2 hours. Best breakfast as well. The only downside would be the size of the Hotel which is a bit small (doesn't help during Covid) but overall, great place to stay and we definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our stay here surpassed all our expectations.
They go above and beyond for their guests and I cannot begin to describe how beautiful the property is. From the spacious and very comfortable rooms (all with a private balcony) to the cozy lounge areas.
The pool area is out of this world and the staff is so very kind and helpful. They will gladly help you plan any activity you’d like (winery visits, boat tours on the river, massage, hiking, picnic, etc).
The food and wine is plentiful and our dining experience was intimate and superbe, with fresh ingredients from their large garden (which is worth going to check out!).
We loved our visit of the winery, it was the most informative and complete one of all the wineries we visited (it was harvest season). During the visit as well as during we got to sample so many of their prestigious wines and ports for a very good price.
If you are going to Douro, you should absolutely go to Quinta do Vallado. It is intimate, but fun and so very relaxing.
