★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I opted for fixed price lunch with octopus for the main course which came in breadcrumbs. It was tender and flavoursome and the whole meal including soup, wine and coffee came to a very reasonable €13. Good service and a pleasant environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An excellent family owned restaurant serving traditional Portuguese food at reasonable prices. We had the boar and the octopus and they were both excellent. Even the dessert was great. Service was also excellent and they spoke English. The menu also had an English translation. Our server was very friendly and helpful and even gave us a little insight into some of the food and drinks and their history. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend anyone to come here for a great dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I spent a week in Portugal and this was the best food I had! We ended up spontaneously having dinner at A Taska because it was around the corner from our apartment and it was amazing. It appealed to us because of its traditional décor, and the food was an updated version of typical Portuguese cuisine. Maybe we got super amazed because we had 0 expectations and insights about the place, I don't know, but honestly everything was amazing!! Also noteworthy that the service was exceptional :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We absolutely loved this restaurant. Amazing food - we had the pork cheeks (super soft and tasty, you can basically eat them with a spoon) and vegetables a bras. Great and very attentive service. Nice atmosphere and good choice of music. Good price/quality. Will definitely come again.

It is really nice and I like it- nothing too fancy but the food is good. As the waiter said- a typical old style tavern.
Definately try the octopus with rice and beans, and the fried beans. It was lovely.
Their soups seems to be good too. Portuguese love a good soup.
I am yet to try the deserts.
