Este lugar icónico es ya inveterado y se nota la buena mano de la cocina casera de toda la vida. Algunos aspectos muy a mejorar: el local es demasiado ruidoso u se está un poco incómodo. No hay casi distancia entre mesas y comensales. Otra cosa que no me gustó nada. Mi copa de agua estaba llena de los típicos manchurrones que quedan cuando se sacan del lavavajillas de tanto lavarlas. Le pedí a una camarera que me cambiara la copa, pero no me hizo caso. Me dijo que no estaba sucia, que estaba así la copa a causa del lavavajillas. Pero como yo no quería beber mi agua en una copa con tan mal aspecto, me tuve que levantar y cambiarla yo mismo. Con un poco de amabilidad y mínimo esfuerzo les habría válido una consideración por mi parte mucho más generosa It eats great. The cod is especially rich and well done. Soups are excellent, as is often the case in Portugal. This iconic place is already inveterate and you can see the good hand of the home cooking of a lifetime. Some aspects to improve: the place is too noisy and it is a bit uncomfortable. There is almost no distance between tables and diners. Another thing that I did not like at all. My water glass was full of the typical stains that remain when they are taken out of the dishwasher from so much washing. I asked a waitress to change my glass, but she ignored me. He told me that it was not dirty, that the glass was so because of the dishwasher. But since I didn't want to drink my water from a glass that looked so bad, I had to get up and change it myself. With a little kindness and minimal effort, they would have earned a much more generous consideration from me.

The chips were real potetoes manually sliced and fried. In other words the real thing. If you are in Bon Jesus it is a good place to stop by for lunch or dinner.

Menu looked good, so we ate there and we were all so glad we parked in that lot! Two weeks all over Portugal and this was the most memorable meal we had. Large portions with good prices, friendly staff, and honestly the best octopus I've had anywhere. Perfectly cooked. I will most certainly return here if I'm ever in this area.
