★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, drink and service. Fabulous coastal resort near to Aveiro called Costa Nova which is an absolute pleasure and must visit place if within a day's travel. Brilliant beach and dunes close by. What's not to like?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good place out of the tourist circuit. The cod is superb and the grilled sea bass is really tasty. Recommended specially if you like a little bit of chilli in your food ;) (ask for it to the crew)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great authentic Portuguese traditional restaurant with lots of fish cooked over charcoal. Not super speedy service but popular with the locals and good value - a block off the beach in quiet area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate the daily menu. They changed the soup for my daughter to a vegeterian one. All food was delicious, the waiters are very friendly and fast. They don't speak English, but it wasn't a problem. The locals also eat here which shows how good the food is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner here a a few days ago. Excellent service and friendly staff. Family run and owner John is involved in all aspects to make this a delicious and authentic experience. Fish was fresh caught and grilled and delicious. Beef was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Sides of seasoned black beans and fresh vegetable medley were spot on.
Atmosphere nice with indoor and terrace seating. This is one street off the bay activities so a bit more relaxed and quaint.
I would definitely recommend it.
