Nice deck to sit out but the food is just terrible. Everything tasted like from a bad canteen. Wouldn't eat here again!

I normally love to go within this area, this time i chosen this restaurant, my husband didn't like, but i convinced him. I was disappointed because i wasn't expected to have a service like this... Food are basic and tasteless. The worst was thier toilet was filty and disgusting...i reported to the staff where they are in group chatting and doing nothing...they laughed instead of saying thank you and appreciate what i told them to avoid other customers disappointment . I definitely not to go back with this restarant anymore...

The food is excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. You need to pay extra if you want vegetables with your meal and the bread rolls and bottled water provided for you are not free.

Well. Mixed feelings. Food presented in excellent conditions. Aspect 4, Content 3, Plate 2 (when you ask for a fish food, you expect your plate pre heated for the price involved), Palate 3 (chef makes an effort of churning out his food at adequate rhythm but each plate should be a work of art, he tried, but his staff did not live up to his standards). Now for the space. Gusto in all aspects which deserves a high star rating, but if you have a mashed paper serviette on the floor in front of the toilets (courtesy of a less educated customer) you should be as fast as lightning picking it out of the way… didn’t happen, stayed there for exactly 10 minutes), when noticed, late but not as late that would constitute a capital sin. This means that one of the employees read, or at least understood the philosophy behind “Who moved my cheese”. Now given the setting one would have to say that the staff went to all extents to please every customer (agreed… not an easy feat) in spite of me having them set up against their chef a few sentences above. All in all a nice experience and given the setting and the business pitch. You may visit Mayflower with confidence, you’ll be adequately served and you will enjoy your experience! Don’t be too finicky!

Food was good, both enjoyed our salads. Excellent location and team friendly. Not so sure about having football on the TVs at dinner time tho, just doesn't fit with the vibe of the rest of the place. Good food tho which is the main thing.

I had octopus and my friend had a Portuguese steak. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but it came well done. My octopus was cooked very nicely, smooth and soft but unfortunately it was a little bit tasteless and it lacked character and quantity. Presentation and service was good, for that 3 stars but the chef needs to know how to properly cook a steak and maybe some knowledge of Portuguese cuisine as it shows a lack of it.
