★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De auto kun je parkeren in het dorp, daarna een klim van ongeveer 100 mtr. Het terrein is overwoekerd met planten, er is daardoor niet veel meer te zien. Het wordt helaas niet onderhouden

Na aldeia de Alferce, encontram-se as ruínas do Castelo com a mesma denominação, que segundo diversos autores pertencem à Idade do Ferro, embora esta tenha sido alvo de ocupação romana.
Chegando às Ruínas do Castelo de Alferce aconselha-se que o veículo seja deixado perto da estrada que dá acesso ao mesmo e que a subida para as Ruínas seja feita a pé.
As Ruínas do Castelo de Alferce, que correspondem ao final da Idade do Ferro, têm uma localização ideal para a época, uma vez que permitiria estabelecer o controlo sobre um dos principais caminhos de ligação «entre o Baixo Alentejo e o Algarve»

Arriving at the Ruins of Castelo de Alferce, it is advisable that the vehicle be left close to the road that gives access to it and that the climb to the Ruins be done on foot.
The Ruins of Castelo de Alferce, which correspond to the end of the Iron Age, have an ideal location for the time, since it would allow to establish control over one of the main connection paths «between the Lower Alentejo and the Algarve»
