Best Restaurant in portugal

J	Jean Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We looked forward to an enjoyable afternoon at Ilha de Tavira and unfortunately the only restaurant open was Sal. We sat down and explained to the waiter that we had to catch the ferry so only had about 45 minutes. Because of the time crunch we all ordered salads. He said that would be quick. He brought us the couvert and said he would only charge us for what we ate. We weren’t going to have any but the food was slow to say the least. After a 1/2 hour of no food we needed to get to the ferry and told him to make it a takeaway. Still no food so we decided to leave 20€ on the table to more than cover the couvert and catch the ferry. As we were walking away he called to us that he had our food. We went back and were appalled at the bill. He didn’t even look at what we ate and charged us for everything and the prices were ridiculous even for a tourist trap. They also charged us a 3€ takeaway fee!! We also ordered fries which he never even acknowledged were missing but didn’t charge us for those. We paid the exorbitant charge of 46€ and wanted to pay cash. Then he said he didn’t have change for 20€ so we charged it. We left with the waiter being completely unapologetic and rude. SAL is nothing but a tourist trap and the salads were awful.
C	C M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slow service, we ordered tuna steak salad and they brought tinned tuna and we ordered octopus salad and they brought grilled octopus on potatoes in loads of olive oil. Others' food looked better so perhaps we got rather unlucky.

We had the cuttlefish and tuna which were both well cooked and came in generous portions with potatoes and salad. It was more expensive than restaurants in Tavira town, but you pay for the location. Overall, a great lunch spot.
