About Sea Kayaking Sagres
Amandio Pataquinhas has been sea kayaking in the Algarve for most of his life. Since 2017 he has been leading dedicated and professional sea kayaking tours.
In addition to his qualifications (ACA Trip Leader Level 4 / Euro Paddle Pass Level 4 from the DKV - German Canoe Association), Amandio has an extensive and intimate knowledge of the sea conditions, geographies, currents, and coastlines surrounding the Algarve.
As a result, he can lead sea kayaking trips and tours that are suitable for clients with various levels of experience (beginner through to advanced).
In Amandio’s words; “My passion is to provide adventures that go far beyond simply paddling to conventional tourist spots. Instead, we want to share our love of sea kayaking with you and the unique access to the ocean and nature that this sport provides. I look forward to showing you how great it is to paddle on the open sea, just as the Inuits have done for over 4000 years!”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Ocean Kayak Trip by Anke and Amandio is a truly unique experience and has nothing to do with the regular tourist tours you can do in the Algarve. The Organisation, Communication, Introduction and whole experience is well thought through and planned super professionally and you can really feel how much love for the ocean and the area goes into their tours. I got to see the Coast from a viewpoint I never saw before and felt really one with nature and learned a lot from Amandios explonation on nature and Kayaking. They offer also several day tours. Perfect for all true Outdoor Enthusiasts out there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a great pleasure for us to do this cave tour with Amandio. We had no experience in kayaking but we always felt safe and comfortable with the advices and instructions of the tour guide, even with the very windy condition we had.
The landscape, the coast and the caves were gorgeous and breathtaking. In short, we had a blast.
I would recommand this tour 100% !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We drove all the way from Quateria to come here. We were not disappointed. Took our family on the 4 hour tour. They were patient, clear on safety and allowed us to develop at our own pace. Armandio was great at getting the coaching just right, leaving us to enjoy the time together, but making sure we saw all the best bits. The coastline is amazing and so much quieter that the Benagil area that is buzzing with other tours. If you want a relaxing adventure that has personal service, and quiet make the effort and come along to the end of the algarve: These guys will not disappoint.
Also Armandio takes shed loads of pictures which they email you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolut exciting trip with real sea kayaks and not the cheap sit on tops that you find all over the Algarve. Profssional guide with great focus on safety! In the briefing we were informed about basic strokes and tecniques. We loved all of the beautiful coast and the guide was always on our side, ready to help. We spent about 3 hours on the water and paddled only one way. At the end we were picked up with a van and brought back to the meeting point. And we received amazing pictures of the tour by email. Great and professional service! Thank you so much for a holiday highlight!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The trip was so easy to set up with Anke, and Amandio was a terrific guide. He helped our family of four (all adults) brush up on our kayaking skills and showed us all the caves and inlets along the coast. We even stopped at one cove to jump in the water snorkel. The cliffs are incredible, and the coast is off the beaten path - we saw only one other boat. I highly recommend this kayak tour.

My boyfriend and I, beginners, did single sea kayaks for the morning tour (less windy than afternoon apparently). After parking at the bay, selected single or double kayak, everyone (two small groups - 6 total, driver and guide) carpooled (15-20 mins) to the starting point, gave us an introduction of how to kayak, helped us in the kayak and we toured 5 miles (7-8 km) of the amazing coastline and caves. Paid cash at the end of the tour - great price! Definitely would do it again! Thanks
