★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima stazione ferroviaria, con l'atrio ricco di giganteschi 'azuleios'. Sono circa ventimila e coprono una superficie di 550 mq.
Progettata ai primi del '900 in ferro e vetro per la zona del traffico treni e in pomposo eclettismo Beaux-Arts per le facciate.
Questa scelta, oltrechè essere “di moda” si spiega con il fatto che l'architetto Marques de Silva (il progettista) aveva studiato a Parigi.
Merita una visita anche se non dovete prendere un treno.
 Beautiful train station, with the atrium full of gigantic 'azuleios'. There are about twenty thousand and cover an area of 550 square meters.
Designed in the early 1900s in iron and glass for the train traffic area and in pompous Beaux-Arts eclecticism for the facades.
This choice, besides being "fashionable", is explained by the fact that the architect Marques de Silva (the designer) had studied in Paris.
Worth a visit even if you don't have to take a train.

As beautiful as it is, one should arrive in Porto by train! Not big but full of details. For a tourist an unmissable stop. Inside you will also find a street vendor shop for vegetables and fruit
