★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Este local merecia estar melhor protegido e enquadrado de forma a que pudesse ser apreciado na sua importância pois trata-se da primeira descoberta arqueológica feita em Portugal, ainda no século XVI. Tratar-se-á de um santuário romano monumental mas nele também há vestígios islâmicos. Uma pena tudo parecer meio abandonado.
This site deserved to be better protected and framed so that it could be appreciated in its importance as it is the first archaeological discovery made in Portugal, back in the 16th century. It will be a monumental Roman sanctuary but it also contains Islamic remains. Too bad everything seems a little abandoned.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O que pode ser visto no local desilude bastante. Daquilo que se esperava ver do santuário romano dedicado consagrado ao mar, sol e lua pouco ou nada se vê.
Mesmo do ribat islâmico, também descoberto no local, nada o identifica.
Talvez daqui a alguns anos possa ser interessante!
What can be seen on the site disappoints a lot. Of what we expected to see from the dedicated Roman sanctuary dedicated to the sea, sun and moon, little or nothing is seen.
Even from the Islamic ribat, also discovered at the site, nothing identifies it.
Maybe in a few years it might be interesting!

It's completely dark at night and I wouldn't have seen a thing if not for the long exposure on my camera.
