★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Os números de contacto para a Segurança Social não dão em nada, um chama e ninguém atende, o outro nem dá sinal. Quando se tenta ligar para outro número se atendem são pessoas frias e a despachar. Incrível como este serviço não funciona. Depois querem que não hajam filas na Segurança Social, é impossível fazer algo via telefone e por internet tem muitas limitações. Enfim, é o que temos.
The contact numbers for Social Security are useless, one calls and no one answers, the other doesn't even give a signal. When trying to call another number, they are answered cold people and dispatching. Amazing how this service doesn't work. Then they want there to be no queues at Social Security, it is impossible to do something via phone and the internet has many limitations. Anyway, that's what we have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Este local não é aconselhável a pessoas com mobilidade reduzida pois trata-se de uma quinta magnifica ( Plátanos) onde só os funcionários têm direito a estacionar a viatura dentro do espaço . Os visitantes terão de estacionar fora do espaço que nas imediações não existe muita opção de estacionamento automove .
Instituição gerida pelo Estado com o alto patrocínio dos descontos dos trabalhadores .
This place is not advisable for people with reduced mobility because it is a magnificent farm (Plátanos) where only employees are entitled to park the vehicle inside the space. Visitors will have to park outside the space as there is not a lot of car parking nearby.
State-run institution with high sponsorship of workers' discounts.

a person calls to get information about unemployment benefit the only thing a person hears is the recording and phrase "correctly enter the social security number" outside the times that no recording asks "if you want the call to be recorded dial 1" a person dials and calls is turned off automatically

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na realidade sempre foi o típico atendimento mal disposto e cansado que infelizmente dá a má fama ao serviço público. Pois da minha última deslocação a este serviço desde à
senhora segurança que fecha a porta na cara das pessoas (porque estamos em época de pandemia) e mesmo depois de saber que a pessoa em causa com mais de 70 anos tinha estado internado à menos de 15 dias com problemas cardiovasculares, continuou a recusar o atendimento porque não tinha marcação, depois de ver que o Sr não saía do wc, recusou deixar entrar a mulher ou a filha para o ir ver, pois na realidade estava a sentir-se mal, tive de invadir o edifício entrando pelo café e ninguém chamou o 112, uma ambulância, ninguém deu uma assistência, um ser humano a ter um ataque e o chefe ainda vem à sala dizer que tinham de continuar a atender.
No meio de todo este vergonhoso serviço, em que até não prestam assistência, nem fazem um simples telefonema para o 112 a um ser humano com uma paragem cardíaca, lá vem uma funcionária sensata, que perdeu 5minutos para dizer que devido à pandemia nem é preciso os idosos fazerem a prova de vida presencialmente.
Afinal continua a existir a bendita funcionária simpática e competente que nos faz respirar à saída, no entanto desta vez não compensou a tristeza, a desumanidade, os encontrões que a Sr segurança deu para nos fechar a porta na cara, foi uma vergonha e a segurança ainda me recusou o livro de reclamações antes do meu pai se sentir mal, dizendo tem que reclamar na net.

security lady who closes the door in people's faces (because we are in a pandemic season) and even after learning that the person in question over 70 years had been hospitalized for less than 15 days with cardiovascular problems, she continued to refuse care because I didn't have an appointment, after seeing that you weren't leaving the toilet, you refused to let your wife or daughter in to go and see you, because in reality I was feeling bad, I had to break into the building by entering the cafe and nobody called 112, an ambulance, no one gave assistance, a human being having an attack and the boss still comes to the room to say that they had to continue to answer.
In the midst of all this shameful service, in which they do not even provide assistance or make a simple phone call to 112 to a human with a cardiac arrest, there comes a sensible employee, who lost 5 minutes to say that due to the pandemic it is not even necessary the elderly to take the life test in person.
After all, there is still the blessed friendly and competent employee who makes us breathe on the way out, however this time it did not make up for the sadness, the inhumanity, the bumps that the security guard gave us to close the door on, it was a shame and security I still refused the complaints book before my father felt bad, saying he has to complain on the net.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The famous social services in Sintra. Located in a beautiful location in a historic building that used to belong to royalty and then later became a school.
Best to arrive very early to take a ticket to be seen and even so be prepared to spend the entire day. In my experience they are not the best at giving advice regarding matters they deal with.
I would recommend you search the internet and visit their website to gain some knowledge of the subject you are going to deal with first and then go visit them to confirm. If possible take a printout of what their site says.
They also have a helpline telephone number but it is famous for not being answered or worse keeping you in a queue for ages and then hanging up on you. Your other option is to try to visit a Social Services building that is less busy and services a smaller area.

You may have to visit there again after receiving documents filled with incorrect information.A very rude employee to a civil petitioner, if you want to experience typical authoritarianism in underdeveloped countries, I recommend visiting here.Why does the Portuguese government keep these incompetent, rude, and useless employees working? Portugal has no future as long as these cancer-like beings are active. A public official who tore up civil petition documents in front of civil petitioners and shouted only "Boa tarde ". A public official who stands up and enters the room while talking, and this is the Portuguese public official in 2022.
