Squash Club Apartments

I liked it very much!!! Has a very clean and private pool. The rooms are clean and they get cleaned regularly. The reception was very helpful in every way possible.

No star for me. I made a reservation for one night, since I've been roadtripping, and the next morning (the day of our overstay) I got a notification by Booking that my reservation was cancelled for the reason that my credit card was invalid (the card that is in use even currently!). I made them a phone call immediately and told them to keep my reservation active (as Booking was also mentioning in it's informative email), to check it and let me know if I should use another card. 2 hours later I called them and hadn't checked yet. 1 hour later I called them again, now I was talking to another person, and told me that my card is invalid and they haven't got any more rooms left -still on Booking there was one more room left. So I called Booking and they told me they would check that. After about 15 minutes there were no more rooms left on Booking. The answer I got from Booking was that the property cannot provide anymore details on the issue. What I believe is that they just didn't want to rent us the apartment for just one night. The problem is that in August it is rather unlikely to find a room to stay in Algarve, so we had to look it all up again for a last minute reservation -which, of course, cost us more than we had budgeted. I wouldn't trust them for my stay.

(this is to be considered as a family with young children and a pregnant women report) The apartment in itself was nice and we were allowed to arrive 2 hours early from official timing but : - we have had to give a 'guarantee' of 100€ in cash that wasn't pre announced in the booking. - some dishes were dented - the towel rack of the bathroom was broken - the rack to dry your laundry on the terrasse was broken and totally unusable. - the TV cable was broken - the baby bed was requested around 2pm (after having been requested by phone before arrival), it was delivered at 10pm (when both children were already asleep, the younger one in the stroller) - there were missing sheets and missing towels - because the apartment was located in the club next door to the squash club tower, we had access to a 'nice' pool but the sunbed and parasols were 'pay extra' (again not warned in the booking) - the pool was nice from a distance but the floor around the pool was black of dirt and is littered by bird poop that is never properly cleaned. - the toilets of the pool were absolutely disgusting, stink and there was no soap to properly wash one's hands. It was then likely that the water of the pool was not clear due to people preferring to pee in the pool instead of going to these toilets. - we finally decided to go to the beach (with all the logistics this implies for two very young children and the heavy efforts it was for my pregnant wife to reach the beach) instead of staying at the pool. - because the club in which the apartment was located was an 'all in' club with more than 500 appartments (we didn't have this 'all in' formula) quite a few guests were drunk and loud during the night which was a problem because it was nearly impossible to sleep with the windows open and it was way to hot to sleep with the windows closed. - we have had a water hose leak under the bathroom faucet, all our belongings that were in the cupboard got ruined. We have had to clean ourselves and the plumber only came the end of the next day. - the day of departure, the shuttle bus (booked the day before) that was to bring us to the airport was more than 30 minutes late on the schedule. We asked after 10, 15, 20, 25 minutes and everytime the answer was "will be there in 5 minutes" After 30 minutes we gave up, my wife requested refund and we have had to use a taxi (arrived in 3 minutes) with a surcharge of 40€ or we would have been to late!!!! Totally not acceptable especially for a so-called "very serious quality shuttle service" according to the receptionist. We will definitely never go back! It is the 5th time we come to Algarve but the first we are disappointed (very very disappointed). Algarve is such a nice region and there the view from the appartments were those of buildings, absolutely no nature to be seen. Last thing: the pool might be "big" but way to small for 500+ appartments which meant that after a certain hour you are bumped from all directions in the pool which is far from ideal for a pregnant woman.

A little run down but decent apartment. The elevator works so thats a bonus. Nice receptionist, always happy to help. Pool area is great, clean, and private. Small market located in the bottom of the building. Very convenient for snacks and drinks. Cons The wifi does not work in the rooms, only in the lobby.

Very nice and clean apartments for a good price. The reception manager Rudy is one of the most friendly person which I met in Portugal. Thanks Rudy!

Good apartments,kitchen full equipped so u can make some food at apartment, close to the beach and promenade, private pool on the back, a lot cheap restaurants and take aways around the area, Good strong Wi-Fi at the room and also English spoken TV

I travel on my own and have stayed at the squash on 3 separate occasions. Staff are lovely and Jose and maria make you feel very welcome in the squash bar. Feel safe there on my own but someone will always talk to you.
