M	Miranda Girl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Squash Restaurant is a must visit when dining in Portimão. This family owned restaurant is an absolute hidden gem. You feel as though you are family the moment you walk through the door and smell the fresh aromatics of a fine dining restaurant. From ocean to plate, the seafood is the star of this restaurant. From freshly shucked oysters to sweet king prawns, you can really do no wrong when ordering here. There is a selection of steaks for those who aren’t into seafood but you would have to be a little mad not to dabble in the seafood. We have been here in the area for a week and our only regret is not finding this place sooner. Also, say hi to Francesco for us when you go, from his Portuguese and Italian Canadian gals.

We got a seafood platter between three of us as a starter which was more than enough, and a tomahawk steak to share for the main with some sides. We ordered the steak medium rare, but it pretty much came out on the blue side of rare. We mentioned this to the waiter, but other than acknowledging our comment, he didn't seem too keen on the idea of doing much about it. Marking the place 4 stars as, in general, the service was good, the venue was nice and the food was, with the exception of the steak under cooked, pretty good.

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our apartment. Me, my wife and our two kids felt very safe the whole time. The safety measure are quite good including the use of masks by the kitchen staff. It has a cosy environment. The manager and all the staff were very kind, friendly and attentive. One of my kids didn't like the burguer, they made him some nuggets and didn't charge us for that. We had a great seafood rice for main course and a lovely cheesecake for dessert. We had a very good experience so we highly recommed this restaurant.

Our waiter, Carlos, was very friendly and came to our table at the beginning of our stay to show us the fresh catch of the day. We chose the fresh red snapper and the octopus for our mains and they were both cooked well and had so much flavour. Carlos was very attentive and made sure that we were enjoying our meals and had enough bread and vegetables to go with our fish. There were lots of dessert options too and the portions were very generous. Not only does this restaurant have amazing food and service, but the ambiance is also great.
