k	ken keni on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP AT ALL COST. RUDE SERVICE, UNDERCOOKED AND TASTELESS CHICKEN, SUPER OVERPRICED. ALSO THEY USE THE COLD WINE SHOP ACROSS THE STREET WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS HALF EMPTY (JUST IN CASE IT FILLS) WHEN I SAID TO THE WAITER I WAS GONNA COMPLAIN SHE SIMPLY SAID “ I AM THE DAUGHTER OF THE OWNER, GO AHEAD”. THIS SUMMARISES THE PLACE VERY WELL I BELIEVE.
K	Kelly Canfield on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ TITLE: Very Fine Tavern/Cafe WHEN: We ate there October 2019 WHAT: The place is on a little hilly street, quietish, with no vehicle traffic and not buzzing with tourists MEAL: There is a fixed menu available if you want it, but we ate tapa style. The lightly battered bacalao on spinach was brilliant! The server grilled the chorizo for us at the table - that was a nice experience. The potatoes in the patatas bravas were done well, but the salsa fresca was unexpected. It tasted just fine, but was not the brava/aioli experience you would generally expect. All the food was deftly handled though - ingredients were of very high quality. SERVICE: Relaxed but attentive. Servers know their offerings well. ANYTHING ELSE? Fine wine list here. Take the advice of the servers for pairings at this place (can't say that about all places)

We went again a few days later and an older waitress waited on us. She lectured me because I didn’t understand her when she greeted me in Portuguese. Then she gave really POOR service the rest of the meal. Just avoid the older waitress!

After we stood there for a few mintutes, a guy came to give us a seat. He was very unfriendly and stood there in the middle of the restaurant to watch a football game, very unprofessional. DO NOT TAKE THE FISH STEW if you have no better place to sit and eat, I will not go there again, ever.

Maybe it's just me being subjective but I took a hamburger with the meat falling apart and my wife had some cheese and brusquetes. Cheese was good though. Prices I would say are above avarage. Burger 13eur and brusquetes 10 eur. After all they also forgot to bring a part of the change. Will not come again.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine list is generous (ask for a recommendation!) Just a short walk from the tourist area of Rua Augusta.

S	Sophie Dg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an amazing experience: - service is super efficient and friendly - food is delicious: the Portuguese steack tasted so good and the chocolate mousse was to die for - reasonable prices I would definitely happily come back here and recommend it to anyone.
