★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very traditional place with quite interesting decoration. I've tried the beef pica pau and the chicken pica pau woth mushroom. Both were very delicious. Great place, really enjoyed it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lady of the Writing museum gave me the advise to go here for lunch. I'm happy I followed her advise. This restaurant cooks the best Porco preto. The service is friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cash only!! Just a little off the main freeway, this little town’s main restaurant is charming and unusual. It’s a strange blend of food; all very tasty. Attentive staff, fun, kitchen decor (think your crazy Austria uncle’s mixed with Spanish country music) make this place a memorable stop on our Portuguese road trip. Their menu is available in English but you still might have some surprises (all pleasantly delicious). Nice house wine. Clearly a local favorite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was decent, though I was insured by my Portuguese table companions that it used to be a lot better and that it is only OK by Portuguese standards. Decoration is quite abundant but beautifully made, apparently by the owner himself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decoration is a bit too much/ tourist trap like and the service was really bad (waited 20 min with waiters just rushing through us and ignoring us to be told they don’t serve 12 people groups)!! We are Portuguese but found communication really hard just got mumbled answers. Never got to taste the food...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ local Portuguese restaurant. The black pork meat were really good. I had a cheek meat, my husband had a pork tender loin. Really delicious!
Pity that no English speaking staff, and no Wifi, and dogs are not allowed at terrace either.
