People are also really friendly, enjoyed very much this place. Looking forward to eat here again when I'm back in Tavira.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent price and big portions. I think this is one of the cheapest restaurants with fish and sea food you can find in Portugal. lot of local people inside. The owner runs it with his family. The food is not anything extraordinary but it is fresh, tasty and authentic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Deliciously tucked away, relaxed, very reasonably priced quality and honest home dishes. House white wine was perfect and the small street terrace was ideal. The owner and his wife were very pleasant, welcoming and professional. We started with a refreshing beer on the first day ended up having dinner that same day and lunch the following 2 days. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The dish of the day was good, the meat tender, but was served with fries and the typical Portuguese excuse for a salad. No love. Service was also sub-par, behaved like they would rather not be there. Good for a quick meal on the go but not a long evening meal.

I have been a professional chef for 38 years.
What you see is what you get, possibly the best all round cafe in Tavira.
Watch out for "el BANDITO" the table help lady with short hair.
Brilliant sense of humor.
