★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wondering place to grab coffee after visiting the castle. The owner was very friendly. You can just order your drinks upfront and take it to a table outside to enjoy the view!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Passing through the area and found this gem of a tiny town (? 45 houses in total), the heart of which has the castle sat prominently on the hill. The Place is conveniently located just next to the castle and is run by a lovely couple. Highly recommend having the burger whilst enjoying a beverage and the incredible view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really enjoyed a weekend stay at The Place. The rooms are traditionally styled (but recently renovated) with access to a balcony to enjoy the superb views / sunset (see pic). Lots of nice villages to visit in the area. Also looked like a good spot for cycling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been several times. The owners and staff here are always so friendly and helpful. Vicky and Nelly were even kind enough to help me deal with a local mechanic who didn’t speak any English. The venue itself is beautiful, the view stunning, the coffee and pasteis de nata are delicious and all of this next to a beautiful castle? Can not recommend enough.

Very friendly and helpful owners and staff.
Splendid view from the terrace.
Parking nearby, inside and outside of the village.
Terrace accessible for wheelchairs, toilet might be a problem (steps).
Two apartments which have the same splendid view.
Recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I simply have no words to describe what this place is - but I will try my best.
On the top of a hill, there's one castle from 500 years ago, 12 people living in a Street, some goats, and this place with the most stunning view possible, overlooking the Alentejo on one side - and the castle itself on the other.
There are only four rooms here. They are beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. We got here to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and the hosts gave us an upgrade for the weekend.
The hosts, Mitch and Vicky, are great, generous, and amazing people who have lived all over the world - from Thailand to Saudi Arabia. Vicky made sure that we were having a great time - and suggested several places around for us to go. She's already an expert in the area. Mitch prepares amazing food - highlights to the Pizza, which is just great.
I hope to get back to this place again soon. It left a mark on me.
