★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A genuine experience of the flavour and aromas of the Algarve. Traditional petiscos (small plates) with a twist. The ingredients is sourced locally and super interesting to experience organic wines. I literally ordered everything off the menu, why not?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Travia is an exceptionally nice place to eat amazing food and drink a carefully selected glass of natural wine. Lee is a lovely host and it feels like he has been doing this for years.
I wish this place was in Belgium, then I would go every week. Lonely Planet, please add this to your must visits in Lagos and the algarve in general!

The friendliest staff and owner (extremely knowledgeable about wine and Portuguese history— got some great recs from her when we go to Lisboa). Every single dish was delicious and beautiful. Simple and thoughtful yet incredibly tasty is how I would describe our dining experience. You must must try this spot if you’re in town (and get the humus orange wine oh my god it was divine!!) Can’t wait to come back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maria and Lee have done an amazing job at Travia bringing traditional, seasonal tapas-style Portuguese dishes combined with delicious local sourced wine to the centre of Lagos. A great space, great atmosphere, ...and did I mention the great wine!
A must visit for locals and tourists alike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without a doubt one of the best food experiences I've had in Portugal. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone & everyone! Ceviche was amazing, the happy pig clearly had a great life, and the chicken schnitzel was well worth the gamble. Since it's a seasonal menu, you might not get to try this, but you'll surely have something just as delicious. I couldn't even wait to take a photo before I started eating. I don't think I have time to rave about the service too - but you'll be in fantastic hands!

During our stay in Lagos, tired of watching typical tourist bars we found this marvellous, charming, cozy Portuguese restaurant located in the city center. Thanks to owners recommendation (they're super nice) we could enjoy the typical Algarve cousins and also a carefully natural wines selection.
Definitely this place has been my favourite and we will visit again in our next trip to Algarve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stumbled upon Travia restaurant walking through the old city. It was busy and we felt lucky they made room for us despite not having reservations. We were absolutely blown away by their thoughtful selection of Portugese wines and the care they put into every delicious dish on their tasting menu. The pictures speak for themselves. It was a world class dining experience in this little hidden gem. The owner Maria treated us so well and we left feeling like family. Pro tip - make reservations in advance. This place is a must try... you will thank me! ?
