Once this had been sorted I could not fault the hotel, the facilities were brilliant very modern and clean, the breakfast was delicious with a very wide range of choice and we even ate on the evenings where the food was to a high standard and very affordable. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The staff had even provided my girlfriend with a surprise birthday cake and free cocktail which was greatly appreciated and made our stay that extra bit special. The bar and restaurant staff in particular were very friendly and attentitive. The facilities were excellent and the surrounding area was ideal as it was not too close to the mad strip but had other bars and restaurants around more suited to families and couples. The old town was a 5 min taxi ride and less than 5 euro. One of the only faults I would give is that at the pool area, which is very nice, all the preferred spots for sun loungers were always reserved by guests putting towels out in the morning despite not using the loungers until later in the afternoon. This meant there was often empty loungers in the good spots that had umberrellas for shade that went unused most the day just because guests had put their towels down. Guests should not able to 'reserve' loungers with towels all day if they are not being used. Overall we thought this was a very high end hotel and very welcoming with very friendly staff who made our stay one of the best in Portugal.Read Less
