★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’re not usually ones for sushi restaurants, even though we both enjoy it, however when we saw the name/theme we were intrigued as we had planned to be in Japan this week if covid didn’t exist….
So we headed over for lunch and immediately enjoyed the authenticity of the yakuza club door with the small hatch to check us in.
The bar is beautiful - I could sit there all day and drink my way through their varied cocktail menu and sake list, but we were soon sat at the sushi bar itself in the restaurant, watching the skilled team work their magic.
Their lunch set menu is fantastic. For 25Euros you get a starter of either miso soup (with tofu) or 2 beautifully fresh gyoza. This is followed by a very generous platter of sushi and sashimi - which again is super varied and was all excellent. We loved trying the different types and seeing what they all tasted like.
The set menu also comes with a large glass of wine and an espresso at the end.
This is a real steal of a deal and yeah - we loved our time here.

Atmosphere is a bit pretending. Would be great giving more emphasis to the food instead of a wall of fame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent sushi. Set lunch for €25 is a great value. Humorous entrance requirement-feels like asking for permission to enter a yakuza-owned drinking hall. Only problem was that the menu has to be downloaded via a QR code, and my phone didn't have any reception inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sushi was decent, but service is very slow. Prices are on the higher side. The toro temaki was the best dish for me. Their cocktails have way too much ice and very little alcohol. Disappointed that they didn’t do anything for us - I specifically mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday when making the reservation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, they definitely know what they are doing and have prime ingredients... good service, make good recommendations for drinks, good Ambiance, trendy designs, nice paintings, cool music, cosy kind of dark and romantic vibe... Definitely a must visit. We paid 200 euros without alcohol and tried so many delicious things...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really beautiful restaurant, felt very fancy. Decor was really nice, service was great. Was nice watching the chefs prepare the food in front of you.
Majority of the sushi rolls were fab, especially the yakuza hot roll. There were one of two dishes that weren’t mind blowing which is why this review gets 4 stars.
