★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great wee bakery offering good value breakfast and lunch options. Take a ticket as you enter for a number that indicates when you will be served. Different machines for eat in and take away. This branch has an ice-cream shop too. Watch out for what looks like a bread roll with ham and cheese, the roll is sweet with coconut! See pic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On three visits to Lisbon in 2019, I visited a cafeteria-like restaurant and pastry shop called A Padaria Portuguesa. It is located downtown and next to my favorite place, Fábrica da Nata - Pastéis de Nata.
On my most recent visit to A Padaria Portuguesa I only ordered a Café Americano, but I first asked if the place had WiFi, which it does. A courteous employee entered the code on my iPad and the connection worked fine.
When you enter the front door, be sure to get a ticket with your number as at the counter you are supposed to show it to the person taking your order.
I discovered that the freshly made carrot soup, and all the other soups of the day, are particularly good and not expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slow service at the counter, very very dirty place, this pictures were taken by December 4th and the restroom hadn’t been clean in 2 days. It is very frustrating that even after a pandemic, this people do not know how to take cleanliness seriously. JUDGE YOURSELF IF YOU WANNA EAT THERE. I bet they treat the food and kitchen the same way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely little bakery. We went for our breakfast here. There was quite a line (Sunday morning), but we were the only ones that were sitting on the second floor. Nice options for bread, good espresso and cappuccino, mostly pastry oriented.
